Back at work

not much action the last few weeks since going back to work, there were a couple of fishless outings, one at the Werribee boat ramp casting plastics and another to Seymour looking for cod. We watched a fisher catch 2 cod in 5 minutes from the opposite bank from where I was fishing but got none ourselves in 2 and a half hours. I also had another try at Maribyrnong for bream but only managed to land one smaller fish, there was another thumping hook up that bent my rod near in half before I was cut off on a snag though. I also went for a walk along the drying riverbed of the Lerdederg to where it meets the Werribee river and saw a large group of big carp swimming in a big pool. I managed to hook one but also got cut off on a snag there. yesterday I went to Kyneton ond spent a couple of hors using lures. Got half a dozen small reddies on a savage fathead lure that were between 15 and 20cm. I then got a couple of larger ones on a savage blade but there was not as much action as usual.
